ATPCO launches new FareManager RulesFor immediate release ATPCO today announces the release of the new FareManager Rules, a fully redesigned version of its industry-standard solution for managing airfare rules and restrictions. Airlines worldwide employ ATPCO’s Rules to place restrictions on their airfares (for example, requiring a minimum stay) that help them maintain their competitive advantage in the market. More than 500 travel organizations rely on ATPCO’s applications to manage millions of airfares and fare rules in the marketplace, so system accuracy, efficiency, and reliability, as well as complex data security, are of utmost importance. With today’s fluctuating economy, airlines are using ATPCO’s system more frequently to adjust their fare rules and stay competitive. Over the last 10 years, for example, airlines have increased their average number of daily rule changes by more than 31 percent each year. The new FareManager Rules both accommodates the requirements of today’s market and has the flexibility to grow with the industry. The online application leverages ATPCO’s expertise in data collection and distribution and takes advantage of new standards and best practices to create a faster, more reliable and effective system for the airline industry. New technologies ensure the system can handle the growing volume of data and data changes with ease, and an intuitive interface simplifies the learning process for both long-time and new ATPCO customers. "ATPCO continually strives to provide the airline and travel technology industry with innovative solutions that improve performance and simplify fare maintenance processes,” said Ann Lowden, ATPCO’s director of product development. “FareManager Rules accomplishes those goals and enables our customers to improve their productivity, which, in turn, can help their organization’s bottom-line.” Fare and pricing analysts no longer need to remember complex codes thanks to the system’s convenient drop-down menus and dynamic toolbars. FareManager Rules’ streamlined navigation and consolidated workflow processes also make it easier to perform daily data updates and market research. Additionally, the new FareManager Rules offers expanded functionality, including many features previously only available to ATPCO employees. More than 250 airlines, global distribution systems, and travel vendors participated in ATPCO’s beta testing program for the new FareManager Rules, and preliminary feedback indicates they are eager to employ the upgraded system in their day-to-day operations. The development of the new FareManager Rules is part of ATPCO’s all-encompassing Technology Transformation, a multi-year initiative to enhance overall system performance, efficiency and reliability. Through this project, ATPCO has redeveloped its systems for processing fares and all associated rule conditions, including public and private fare conditions. The company is now exploring enhancements to its data distribution and subscription services. |
